Bonjour and Hola!
I have been pouring through all of my pics (I shot more than 2000!) and putting up the best of the best. I have a small gallery up here:
France and Spain.

Currently these are my France pictures only. I am still working on Spain, so hold your horses a bit.

You are free to leave comments under the pictures, but you have to put something in the e-mail box. It doesn't have to be your real e-mail address. Just blah-blah-blah or whatever.

You can also go into each folder and watch a slideshow of the images. Click on the slide show icon to get it started. It's in the top left corner.

I will be adding my pics from Spain shortly, and any pictures that you e-mail in. Send an e-mail to Tomaire AT Gmail.com (but replace AT with @) I just received Mr. Awono's pics, and those will be up soon. So send em in if you want them hosted for free. we're back!

We made it back safe and sound. There were some issues getting off the ground in France... some baggage handler's strike?

Anyway, we all need some sleep, and maybe some free Coke refills, but I'll post some pictures up here very soon. We're all glad to be back with our families.

We´re doing great in Barcelona. We saw some amazing flamenco dancers tonight. Got lots of pictures. (And the ladies got winks from the "hot dancer guys")

We´ve heard news that our area is under heavy rain, and that there have been evacuations and flooding. Are you guys alright? Leave us a comment if you have any news to pass along.

We´re looking forward to swimming and maybe some shopping tomorrow.

Hola Amigos!
We are now in Barcelona. We had a *rough* 12 hour train ride from Paris. Rough in that I have roomier shoeboxes full of nails more comfortable than that train car I shared with three other people.

Anyway, here we are in beautiful Barcelona. It is hot, but absolutely gorgeous. We are seeing so much. And we are buying a lot too. We´ll have some problems getting everything packed to go home.

We are enjoying the local quisine (I had pizza tonight...) and looking forward to more museum tours.

Hope you all are having a good time back in Estados Unidos... more when we return.

Oh, I´ve shot 1200+ pics. Don´t worry, I´ll filter it down a bit before I post em all.

We are enjoying ourselves in Paris! It is 8:40 our time, and we finally got to an internet cafe. Everything is going well. We are happily busy.
Today we did the Louvre and Notre Dame. Tomorrow is musee d'Orsay and Mont Martre. We also have some free time so we hope to get some more shopping in.
The food is fantastic, the weather is incredible, yet my French is still sloppy. I can't resize pics to post just yet, but I have already taken 750+ and it's only day 2.
We go to Normandy on Sunday, and then we switch gears to speak spanish in Barcelona.

Gotta split. Maybe more later?

We will actually be at the Eiffel Tower on Thursday at 7:00 pm Paris time, and 1:00 pm Rockville time. The tower starts blinking every hour as from 9:00 pm. Make sure you bring your camera along on the Champs de Mars-Trocadero for a picture of a lifetime.

Itinerary Update

Hello folks,
I've updated the itinerary so that when you click on the name of the hotel WHEN it appears in the itinerary, it will skip down to the bottom to that hotel's info. One hotel for Paris, one for Normandy, and the one in Barcelona. I have done some research and found the english language version of the web sites for the other hotels. (We didn't have this info previously)

I am now on this blog.
The weather in Paris is looking fantastique.

I just bought some outfits to match the climate and to be comfortable.
Here's a hint: when packing clothes make sure different sets match so you can wear the same clothes in different combinations and save room in your bags for souvenirs!

Mrs. Jones and the girls arrived safely yesterday at Dulles. It seems the sun was out quite a bit that near to the equator.

We are going to upload a handful of her photos, but if any of the participants have some photos they'd like to share, we can host them in one of our galleries. You don't need to worry about passwords or banner ads.

Sunday 3/26

It's good to hear from many of you, I´ve passed messages onto the girls. This will probably be the last update as we leave early tomorrow.

The girls were woken at 3am last night for an emergency meeting for the Special Missions. I haven't heard many specifics at this point but they had a good time. This morning, they were able to sleep in and then spend some good quality time at the pool. It was sunny and hot, all 5 of us laid out and swam a bit. After lunch the girls headed back to session and will be there for the rest of the afternoon. This evening is the closing ceremony and then a dance. I'm hoping they´ll have some time to pack and a good night´s sleep before tomorrow´s flight, but I don´t think that´ll happen.

The flight information for tomorrow says we'll be arriving in the afternoon. We were delayed quite a bit on the way down though, and that could happen again. We´ll be able to call when we get to Atlanta if there are any changes.

PS. This blog's weather bug is a liar, it's been absolutely beautiful. Even at midnight it's in the 60-70s. During the day, 90s with a nice breeze from the pacific.

Hello again,

The girls and I are doing well. I saw them perform this morning during their first session. They all agree that the conversations are getting better and more interesting. They are getting to know other delegates well now, and had lunch with some of them outside of the hotel. Unfortunately, the rain came just in time for lunch again. We will continue to hope for some pool time. The weather has been very warm during most of our stay, other than the noontime rainstorms. There will be sessions the rest of the afternoon today. Then tonight, the Special Missions delegates are all in for a surprise.

I hope all is going well in Maryland. (CNN said it was in the 50s today, yuk.)

Friday 3/24

This just in, from Mrs. Jones

We are all doing well here in Panama. We landed late and didn´t check into the hotel until after midnight, but there weren´t any problems. The hotel is very nice, especially the pool area.

The opening ceremony this morning was nice. The guest speaker was the Panama ambassador. Then we had our first meeting. The girls had good things to say about what they were doing.

They had planned to sit at the beautiful pool for lunch and maybe swim before the afternoon sessions, but just minutes before lunch began it started to rain. It was a nice thunderstorm with lots of rain and thunder. We had lunch instead in the hotel restaurant with some of the other delegates that they had met. Now they are back in session again. They have a short break but will be busy till about dinner time tonight.

The girls are in room 153 and I am in 130 if you need to reach us for any reason. There won´t be much free time for the girls, but they may choose to email at some point.

I´ll keep you posted.
